Clinical Neuropsychology is the psychology subspecialty that focuses on how disease or injury to the brain affects how we think and feel. Evaluations are conducted to assess several domains of cognitive abilities, including, language, attention and concentration, memory, visuospatial skills, ability to plan and execute thoughts, as well as mood and personality functioning. Evaluation results are used to inform treatment recommendations and to establish a baseline against which any future changes in functioning can be compared.
